Celebrate #LACountyParks’ 80th Anniversary with their ‘Let’s Play Outside’ Campaign!
LA County Parks’ is inviting the Los Angeles community to celebrate their 80th anniversary by participating in their exciting new initiative, the ‘Let’s Play Outside’ campaign.
This campaign is dedicated to providing all children—regardless of race, income, gender identity, ability, or geographic location—with access to 10 essential outdoor experiences that celebrate the joys of childhood.
What’s Happening?
From July 1st to July 31st, the county will be hosting over 200 free activities for LA County children to enjoy the outdoors! This is a fantastic opportunity to encourage kids to connect with nature and experience the wonders of outdoor adventures. Here are some of the activities we have planned:
- Play Outdoors: Let kids roam and play freely in open spaces.
- Explore Nature: Discover the beauty and diversity of local parks.
- Splash in Pools: Cool off and have fun in public swimming pools.
- Go Fishing: Experience the thrill of catching a fish.
- Follow Trails: Hike and explore scenic trails.
- Camp Under the Stars: Enjoy a night of camping and stargazing.
- Ride Bikes: Take a bike ride through safe and beautiful paths.
- Go Boating in Lakes: Paddle and explore the serene lakes.
- Connect with Wildlife: Learn about and observe local wildlife.
- Plant Seeds: Get hands-on with gardening and plant seeds.
